The Caribbean Coast Enters Wildlife Season
From May through mid-December, wildlife becomes more visible along Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast, from the reef just offshore to the sounds of the rainforest inland.
This is Wildlife Season, and on the Caribbean coast, it follows its own logic.
At Hotel Aguas Claras, much of this unfolds within the property itself — sloths in the trees above the outdoor showers, howler monkeys at first light, and frogs along the garden paths after dark. Wildlife is never a guarantee. But this season brings a steady presence, and a different rhythm than most travelers expect.
